About Padres & Jóvenes Unidos
Based in Denver, Colorado, Padres & Jóvenes Unidos (PJU) is a nationally recognized, multi-issue, inter-generational organization led by people of color who fight for racial justice, educational equity, health justice and immigrant rights.
PJU members and leaders were among the first to organize for immigrant students rights in the state, and were also founders of the community-led movement to end the School-to-Prison Pipeline in Colorado and nationwide. With its 25-year track record of organizing to win, this long trajectory of member-led demands has yielded nationally recognized and historic wins. This is the torch that all our current and future staff members carry forward.
It is an exciting time for PJU. We are undergoing a strategic planning process to meet the needs of our community in the current political and social climate. Our vision and long-term strategic goals are clear: Given the unprecedented attacks on our rights by the new administration, we must elevate our work, take it to scale and replicate our successful organizing model across the state.
We need team members who will not only help us get there, but be part of this
historic time for PJU and the movement for justice. Regardless of position, all PJU staff members play a critical role and contribute on a daily basis to building up this powerful resistance needed to defend and advance our rights.
